FDP Workshops

If you would like some additional help with the Frog Developer Platform, we run a series of workshops:

FDP Introductory

The FDP Introductory course has been designed to give you an introduction to the Frog Developer Platform. The training offers an insight into the core FDP concepts as well as giving a practical example of creating a Frog widget from scratch. The workshop is specifically dedicated to finding out all those extra features that enable the technical staff to fo the extra mail in developing frog within the school.

• What does "FDP" mean & what is it?
• What is an "FDP Widget"?
• "Hello World": Your first Widget
• Creating functionality with JavaScript
• Debugging
• Using External Resources
• FDP Widget Preferences

Minimum requirements

To make sure you get the most from this workshop, we recommend that you:

• Are happy with writing HTML by hand.
• Have a basic understanding of JavaScript.
• Have a working knowledge of the Frog toolkit.
• Knowledge of CSS is highly advantageous.

FDP Intermediate

The FDP Intermediate course has been designed to give you a better insight into the frog Developer Platform. The course will offer you the opportunity to learn about the new APIs, datastore, security and user roles together with the opportunity to create a Frog widget.

Course topics:

• The Frog API
• Roles
• Datastore
• Userstore
• Userstore Collation
• External APIs
• Custom Proxies

Minimum requirements

To make sure you get the most from this workshop, we recommend that you:

• Are of a web development background.
• Have a good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
• Know how to create & test FDP widgets.
• Have a working knowledge of the Frog toolkit.

The cost of each course is £350.00 + VAT per person, per course.
